April was busy with lots of Easter celebrations! We started the week off with Molly's Easter egg hunt with her classmates. One of the students in her class had us over for games, crafts, lunch and an egg hunt.
On Easter "eve" we went to the Erdman's house for their annual Easter egg hunt! Mr. Erdman hides over 1,000 eggs for the kids to find and had three golden eggs with mega money this year! Matthew had a baseball game, so he came late with Richard. Mr. Erdman was so thoughtful and saved a few eggs for Matthew and his buddy Clay. They put headlamps on and searched for their eggs.
Our neighborhood also had their annual egg hunt. Molly was thrilled with all the candy and even got a silver dollar!
After the neighborhood party we headed to the Brandenburg's to dye Easter eggs. I was in such a hurry to boil my eggs that, well...lets just say no one wanted to have an "egg toss" with my eggs!
On Easter Sunday we woke up to some special treats from the Easter bunny and an egg hunt. That sneaky bunny hid 60 eggs upstairs! After some candy sampling, we all got ready for church to go celebrate our risen king! Easter service was wonderful. I am so thankful that God sent his son to die for us and that he rose from the grave, just as he said he would! What a mighty God we serve!
