Every summer the kids count down the days until our annual trip to Pensacola! We meet Aunt Kara, Uncle Tim, Nate, Zac, Ben, Nana, Papa Doc, Mar-Mar and Uncle Jim there. It is always such a great week. On our way to Pensacola, we stayed in Baton Rouge and went to see the Tiger again. The kids get a kick out of seeing him and make all kinds of racket hoping he will roar or run or something. Poor Mike just wants to lay there and sleep.
On our way to Pensacola we went through Gulf Shores and ate lunch at "The Hangout". I have always heard of this place and it was really neat. I can only imagine how busy and fun it would be at night. Live music, bubble machine, etc! The food was great and the kids had fun playing foosball and checking the place out.
Matthew was thrilled I was taking pictures :)
The waves and water were great the first few days. The kids spent hours riding waves, playing football in the water, Frisbee, making sandcastles, snorkeling...they were ocean-loving kiddos! Then...the jellyfish came. They spent one whole day catching jellyfish and dumping them in a big hole. They must have caught at least 50!
Of course, we always hit our favorite spots for dinner...Peg Leg Pete's, Flounders and Crabs!
The Oosterhous crew!
Best buddies!
If you only knew how painful it was to get these pictures. Lots of laughing, pushing, "don't get close to me"...etc. So glad you can't always tell that in pictures!
My favorite!
Silly Aunt Kara...love her!
Photo bomb!
Love these girls so much!
Attempted selfie #8,053
One of the highlights every year is crabbing at night! These boys (and Molly) are getting really good at it!
We love the memories we make each year at the beach and the quality time we get to spend together. Lots of laughing, photo-bombing and fun is had with this crew! Until next year...
