On our way home from Orlando, we decided to go through St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Florida. St. Augustine was beautiful and had such character. It is the oldest permanent European settlement in North America. We toured through the city in the car because it was raining. By afternoon, the rain had stopped and we were able to have a little play time on the beach. The kids loved splashing in the ocean and running through the sand. We even had dinner right on the beach and took a stroll after dinner. It was nice to have a little taste of beach life!
We spent the night in Jacksonville and then headed to New Orleans to spend some time with Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim. The kids were so excited to see them and wore Uncle Jim out! They took us to dinner to meet some of their friends and then we went to eat beignets...per my request! We had a great visit!
Molly would not leave Uncle Jim's side!
