My favorite kindergartener recently had transportation day at school. This is quite a big deal and the kids have fun transforming their painted boxes into cool cars. Matthew made his into a police car and was looking forward to handing out tickets. Parents were invited to come see the kids as they "drove" around town following the traffic laws they had been learning about. Matthew did a great job at the beginning, but soon got a ticket for "wreckless driving" and "bumping into other cars". Hmmm...should I be worried? There were several stops they had to make on their drive around town. They had to buy a stamp and mail a letter at the post office, withdraw money from the bank, get their car washed, stop by the school, pay at the tollbooth and buy their Chick-fil-a lunch. The kids had fun and Molly enjoyed helping mommy run the carwash. I guess that was fitting for us "Mills" girls...we learned from Papa Doc!
