We had a wonderful Christmas here in Texas! The kids got out of school on Friday, December 21. Every year we write Santa a letter asking him to come see us early since we are in Arkansas for Christmas. Santa was scheduled to come on Sunday, December 23. We decided to do all the fun things we normally do on our Christmas Eve that Friday night, since we were invited to a party the following night. We ordered pizza, baked cookies, decorated gingerbread cookies and watched a Christmas movie in our pj's. I absolutely love our family time and I'm thankful the kids still look forward to these times with us...they bring so much happiness and laughter into our home!
On Saturday night, we went to a friend's house for pizza, swimming, a movie and hot cocoa! The kids could not wait to go swimming in December! The pool was a nice 95 degrees and the kids loved it. We didn't stay too late because we needed to head home to bake Santa's cookies and put out the reindeer food. The kids put out plenty of carrots for the reindeer (one for each) and left Santa lots of cookies since he probably didn't have too many stops that night. Believe it or not, they went to bed pretty easily because they were ready to see what surprises Santa would bring!
