What a fun first season of tackle football! Matthew has loved every minute of it and Richard has really enjoyed getting to coach. Somehow he managed to coach football and baseball this Fall...he's been busy! Matthew's team went 7-0 during the regular season. This is the first time a Coppell Youth Football team has gone undefeated in the regular season...way to go Cowboys! On offense, Matthew played wide receiver, slot back, running back and quarterback. For defense, he played free safety. He was also deep man on kick off return and punt return. Like father, like son! Throughout the season, he had 5 interceptions, numerous receptions and slot back reverses and returned a punt back 65 yards for a touchdown! Overall he had 3 touchdowns for the season. Super proud of this guy and the awesome coaching staff!
Matthew was one of the captains for the second game. It was fun seeing him go out for the coin toss!
He was also chosen by the coaching staff to be one of the captains in the final regular season game.

After the game we somehow ended up with 7 boys at our house! Richard took them to Grapevine Mills Mall for some games and dessert. He's such a fun coach!
