I cannot believe that Matthew is five years old! We celebrated his birthday this past weekend at Pump It Up. He had a great time and was so glad his cousins could come for the party! Nana, Papa Doc, Aunt Kara, Uncle Tim, Nate, Zac and Ben all came to stay with us for the weekend to celebrate his birthday and Father's Day. It was a fun-filled weekend and we were all exhausted when it was over! When everyone arrived on Friday we played outside and then went swimming at our neighborhood pool. After dinner, Papa Doc and Richard took the kiddos to the school playground across the street. By bedtime, those boys were tired! Saturday was busy with the party at Pump It Up, a trip to Bass Pro Shops, and a professional baseball game that night! On Sunday, Papa Doc and Nana picked up the three oldest boys and took them to breakfast at their hotel. I think Matthew had a pretty memorable birthday weekend and Papa Doc enjoyed his Father's Day breakfast with his boys!
At five, Matthew still loves superheroes. Batman is his favorite, but he will play with any superhero you give him. He still enjoys playing with his Hotwheels and loves board games and card games. He prefers Batman, Scooby Doo and Curious George and is starting to tell me he is too old to watch some of the shows I think he should still watch! He loves playing with his friends, playing outdoors, swimming, reading, and going on bike rides. He loves anything chocolate and will ask daily for a chocolate treat! He is still a good fruit eater, but veggies are an issue...oh well. He has a sweet spirit and truly likes to please. He is fun-loving and adores his baby sister. We are so blessed to be the parents of this amazing FIVE year old!!!
