This past weekend we returned home from eleven wonderful days in Florida! We spent the first five days in Pensacola with Nana, Papa Doc, Kara, Tim, Nate, Zac, Ben, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim. This was our third year to do this and we had the best time...I am already looking forward to our trip next year! I took hundreds of pictures during our trip, so I will apologize now for the long post! While we were in Pensacola, we spent the entire day at the pool or on the beach. Molly preferred the pool most of the time, but would venture down to the beach some. She actually loved the ocean at first, but was knocked down by a wave and her love of the ocean ended pretty quickly! Matthew on the other hand loved the ocean and digging in the sand. Uncle Jim helped the boys dig a huge hole and then took turns "throwing" the boys up out of the hole. The big boys (Matthew, Nate and Zac) did lots of swimming and were quite impressive with their swimming skills! They were inseparable while we were there and truly loved their time together. With so many kids going in different directions, we sure were glad there were lots of adults to help out! Two of the nights we were there Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary coordinated our annual "crabbing" nights! We caught six crabs the first night (thanks to Papa Doc and Uncle Jim for catching them) and none the second night. Oh well, the boys were happy with the first six! We had delicious food each night and the kids had fun playing on the playgrounds at each restaurant. We also visited the pier and saw all the fishermen and their big catches! Molly just wanted to run down the pier, so I kept her on the other end away from all the fishing poles so she wouldn't get "hooked". That gave me some time to get some cute pictures of her! On our last night, Nana, Papa Doc, Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary took the big boys out for ice cream. They all had so much fun and I'm sure that will become an annual Florida activity as well. Thank you all for such a wonderful week...we love you all and cherish the time we got to spend together!
