Christmas at Nana and Papa Doc's

After celebrating Christmas in Texas, we loaded up and headed to Arkansas!  We arrived to our first Arkansas Christmas celebration on the 26th at Nana and Papa Doc's house.  The kids spent the afternoon playing outside and trying to convince Nana and Papa to let them open a present early!  After dinner, the kids watched a movie and then headed upstairs to go to sleep.  We let them all sleep together on pallets and they did surprisingly well!  We were all up bright and early for presents the next morning.  The kids were so excited and not a fan of our rule...only one person opens a present at a time!

After the kids opened presents we had breakfast and let them go run around outside while the adults had present time!  Nana got a beautiful painting that was done by our sweet family friend, Sandy McDowell.  She did an amazing job and Nana was so surprised!

The rest of the day was spent playing football, chasing Jasper, having tea parties with Nana and eating lots of delicious food.  It was a great day!

While we were in Arkansas, Aunt Ashleigh came to visit!  We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and had lots of time to catch up while the kids ran around outside.  Thanks for coming to see us Aunt Ashleigh!

We took a day trip to Aunt Kara and Uncle Tim's house...always one of our favorite stops!  The kids bundled up and spent the whole day outside building a fort or in the shop playing ping pong!  The girls (i.e., Nana, Kara, Jenny) stayed inside by the fire and visited!

Check out this cool fort!  They were so proud :)

Richard and I got to go visit Memaw and Papa Harrington and Mamaw and Papaw Williams one day while the kids stayed at Nana and Papa Doc's.  It was great getting to see them...love them all so much.

We had a great time at Nana and Papa Doc's house!  Jasper sure enjoyed the stay too.  Thanks for such a great week!
