Matthew's 10th Birthday!

I cannot believe my little boy is 10 years old...where has the time gone?  On Matthew's actual birthday he had his best buddy, Andrew, spend the night.  We opened presents, ate Nana's chocolate cake (per Matthew's request...same EVERY year!) and went to the dine-in movie to see "How to Train Your Dragon 2".  It was a great day celebrating this fun, sports loving 10 year old!

For his party this year, he wanted to have all of his friends over for a baseball-themed swim party.  We had about twenty boys to celebrate with.  There was lots of water gun shooting, burping, basketball hooping, dodgeball-playing fun for all!  Molly spent the afternoon at a friends house so they boys could have the pool to themselves!  It was hilarious watching all of these competitive boys (and man, can they eat a lot)!

After the craziness, all the boys went home...except for six!  Matthew wanted some of his best buddies to spend the night and go to Main Event the next day.  Sounded like a fun idea to me...until about ten the next morning...ha!  The watched a movie and had popcorn before we called it a night.  The actually slept pretty good and were up by 7:30...ready for donuts!  The neighbors were probably not too excited to hear the 8am game of ball going on outside...but believe me, they needed to be outside!  We headed out to Main Event with daddy around 10am.  They had so much fun bowling, playing lasertag, putt-putt and playing games.  Richard did a great job setting up a tournament for the bowling.  Your gaming card depended upon how you did in bowling, so they were all trying their best!  Molly and her friend, Sydney, even joined in on all the fun.

It was such a fun birthday.  Happy 10th Birthday to the coolest 10 year old I know!
Love you, buddy!
