A few weekends ago, our neighbors had Matthew take care of their dog, Duke, while they were gone. I think they really just wanted us to feed Duke and play with him for a few minutes each day, but my sweet Matthew had other plans. He decided that Duke should come over and stay in our backyard while the Hodders were gone. After waking up at the crack of dawn and asking at least 20 times to go see Duke, daddy agreed to bring him over to play. Poor Duke...Matthew played with him, cleaned him, inspected his teeth and gums (yes, he was pulling Duke's mouth apart to check things out...thank goodness Duke is such a sweet dog and didn't seem to mind), tied him to the post out back, covered him with sand in the sandbox, and drug him on a walk. Two days of this and he was probably ready to be in his own backyard again! Matthew had so much fun and Duke kept Matthew busy while we packed for Florida! Here are a few pictures of the two of them!
