A Visit from the Oosterhous Crew!

Last weekend Kara, Tim and the boys came for a visit! Matthew had been counting down the days until their visit and the time finally arrived! After they got to our house, Uncle Tim and Nate went to see Matthew play in his soccer game while the other kids napped. Aunt Kara and Uncle Tim had a wedding to go to Saturday night, so Richard and I were in charge of all five kiddos. Richard took the big boys to see "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" while Ben, Molly and I played at the house. It was so much fun watching Ben and Molly play together. They would take toys to each other, give hugs, copy what the other was doing and just laugh at each other...priceless. The big boys had a great time at the movies and came home with Happy Meals from McDonalds...does it get much better than that? After baths and the two youngest were tucked in, the big boys decided they all wanted to sleep on the floor in Matthew's room. Believe it or not, they actually went to sleep pretty easily and enjoyed their "campout" in Matthew's room. Now, 5:40 a.m. was a pretty early start for Aunt Jenny, but we made the most of it and that allowed us to get out the door early so we could go to the pumpkin patch. The kids loved the pumpkin patch! They bounced in bounce houses, went through the hay maze, climbed on the hay bales and looked at all the pumpkins. Whew! It was a whirlwind weekend, but it was wonderful! Matthew is already planning the activities we will do the next time the Oosterhous Crew comes for a visit! Oh, and thanks to Aunt Kara for the adorable cat umbrella she got Molly...it matches the rain boots she got her for her birthday!

Sweet love!

Molly and Ben loved the little kids hay maze. It had the best exit...a slide!
