Thanksgiving 2009 - Part One

Fall is my favorite season of the year. I love when the leaves start to change colors and the cooler weather begins to move in. Ahhh...I just love it! I look forward to Thanksgiving and the time we get to spend with family...it has always been a magical time for me. On Thanksgiving Day my whole family gathers at my parents house and the laughter and smell of good food just makes me smile! We were fortunate to get to see so many family members and friends this Thanksgiving! Thanks to everyone for a great week!

We arrived in Arkansas on Tuesday and enjoyed some play time outside at Nana and Papa Doc's before heading to Burger Barn to eat. Richard and I used to love eating at this place in college! On Wednesday, Matthew started the day at 5:45 am and went to breakfast with Papa Doc. Kara brought the boys to Nana and Papa Doc's house later that morning for a full day of playing. The boys had so much fun playing and wore themselves out! Mar-Mar, Uncle Jim and Sloan arrived that night...the kids were so glad to see them! Us girls got things ready for Thanksgiving Day and the festivities began! We feel so blessed that Memaw and Papa Harrington are still able to come and celebrate this special day with us. Another great Thanksgiving with wonderful memories!

Thanksgiving afternoon we headed to Hot Springs to spend some time with Mamaw Shelia, Mamaw Ball, Papaw Swarner and Uncle Larry. We had a great time visiting, but guess who forgot to bring the camera and take pictures...yes, that would be Richard!
