Thanksgiving Feast and Indian Guide Campout!

Matthew had his Thanksgiving Feast at school right before the holidays. They had a delicious feast, made indian corn magnets and turkey hats, went on a turkey hunt, and listened to stories about Thanksgiving. My "little turkey" had fun, but couldn't wait for what was going to happen after school...

Daddy and Mr. Jeff picked Matthew and his friend Andrew up from school and they boys headed to Oklahoma for their Indian Guide campout. For those of you who don't know about Indian Guide campouts, this is a "boys weekend" for daddys and their sons. This weekend involves horseback riding, scavenger hunts, shooting BB guns and bows and arrows, fishing, smores and bonfires, playing sports, rocketry...basically it's an "all boy" weekend with no bathing involved! The daddys also prepare all the meals and I hear they eat quite well while camping out! Daddy and Matthew had a great time and are already looking forward to their spring campout. It is a special time for them to be together and I wouldn't trade that for anything! Molly and I had a great "girls weekend" and got the house all decorated for Christmas while the boys were gone.
