Our crew packed up and headed to Pensacola, Florida a few weeks ago to enjoy some swimming, boogie boarding and fun in the sun! We met Nana and Papa Doc, Kara and her boys, and Aunt Mary (Mar-Mar) and Uncle Jim for a week of fun. The beach was beautiful and the water was great...except for a few jellyfish. Poor Matthew, Nate, Zac and Molly...they all got stung. Oh well, it didn't dampen their spirits and didn't really keep the boys from going back out in the ocean (notice I said "boys"). Molly preferred playing in the sand or swimming at the pool. Matthew was thrilled that he got to spend his "real" birthday with family. We celebrated with dinner at Peg Leg Pete's and a yummy ice cream cake party at the hotel. One of the highlights from the week was going crabbing at night. Uncle Jim and Papa Doc helped the boys find 38 crabs one night...that was our record! We have such great memories from these trips to the beach and the kids look forward to it every year. I see many more summer beach trips in our future!
