We are so blessed with such a wonderful family! We celebrated a milestone a few weeks ago. My Papaw Harrington turned 95 years old! Not only is my Papaw is still preaching at the age of 95, driving, serving as Chaplain in a retirement community and taking care of my Memaw, he can still SWIM! We gathered together at Nana and Papa Doc's house to celebrate his birthday, my Memaw's 89th birthday and my cousin Stephanie's birthday. Papaw decided that since it was his birthday, he should probably give swimming a try and see if he still remembered how (it has probably been several decades since he has been in a pool!). He did great and even got a few cheers when he stood on the diving board and acted like he was going to jump in! Papaw has always been such a leader in our family and truly is one of the kindest men you will ever meet. He puts everyone else's needs above his own and loves the Lord with all his heart. We are so blessed to be sharing his 95th birthday with him! Memaw's birthday is just around the corner, so we thought we would celebrate her special day as well. She is doing so much better and always seems to enjoy watching all the great grandkids play...I definitely think it does her good! We will cherish these memories we have with them!
