We had a great Thanksgiving break! Before we left for Arkansas, we got all of our Christmas decorations up so we could enjoy them when we got home!
The kids and I decided to go to Arkansas on Monday of Thanksgiving break and spend some time with our cousins in Glenwood. A stay with the Oosterhous crew is always an adventure! The kids loved exploring the woods and even got to climb a "mountain" and peek in a cave. Glad we didn't see mama bear in there! We made sure we wore our orange so all those hunters would know we weren't their next kill!
Daddy came to Arkansas on Wednesday and we headed up to Little Rock to see Papaw Curtis and several of our great-grandparents. We stopped by Parkway to see Memaw and Papa Harrington first. Poor Papa hasn't been feeling well and was healing from some broken vertebrae. Memaw was in good spirits and was happy to see us. She kept telling me how handsome Richard was :) This is the first Thanksgiving they haven't gotten to come to Nana and Papa Doc's for Thanksgiving. That was sad. However, I am so glad we got to see them. I am sure they will be there next year!
I love this collage that is in her room. I love the old pictures of memaw and papa.
After our stop by Parkway, we headed to US Pizza to pick up dinner to take to Mamaw Ann and Papaw Don's house. I think they were pretty glad to see us (not just because we brought yummy pizza!). The kids kept us entertained and we enjoyed spending time with them. Papaw Curtis and little bit were even there during our visit. Always love spending time with them!
After our visit to Little Rock, we headed to Nana and Papa Doc's to get ready for Thanksgiving day! Nana sure does know how to cook for this big crew. Seriously, my favorite meal of the entire year!
This year, sweet baby James was the hit of the day. He is only four months old and as cute as they come! He was so good all day...especially enduring all the sports enthusiasm that was going on outside. He will be right in the middle of all his cousins in a few years. We had a little photo shoot with the Bishop crew on James' first Thanksgiving.
The feast...
...and there were lots of football and basketball games going on...
Photo-bombed by Ashleigh and James!
All the girls!
Crazy Uncle Josh!
Thanksgiving 2014
Another great day in the books! So very thankful for my family!
