We had a great week in Arkansas! On Sunday morning we headed to Hot Springs and met Mamaw Shelia, Papaw Guy, Mama Ball, Uncle Larry, Aunt Ashley, Uncle Jason and all of our cousins at church. After a great morning of worship, we headed to lunch at Olive Garden. Nothing like good food, family and lots of laughs. Mamaw looked great and seemed really excited to see the kids. I promise my kids didn't wear this to church...I forgot to get pictures before they changed out of their church clothes!
After our Hot Springs visit, we headed to Arkadelphia to get Matthew registered for basketball camp at Ouachita with his cousins. They did this camp together for the first time last summer and have counted down the days until they could do it again! They were at OBU from Sunday to Wednesday (9am-9pm on Monday and Tuesday...whew!). They had a blast and are already planning for next year. While the boys were in camp...the girls and Ben played! Molly and Ben had fun swimming, playing and running around outside. They were fantastic about entertaining themselves...we never heard the words, "I'm bored"! That gave me lots of good "sister time" with Kara. We had lots of walks and had fun driving around Arkadelphia and out to the lake. We just needed Melissa there with us to reminisce! Nana spoiled us with lots of good cooking and Papa Doc had fun watching the boys scrimmage at camp each night. It was so nice being home.

After camp we headed to Little Rock to see Mamaw Ann, Papaw Don and Papaw Curtis. Molly kept us all entertained while we were there. It was great catching up and letting the kids love on them! They also enjoyed seeing Little Bit.
The last two days of our visit were spent in Glenwood on the river! The Ooosterhous crew never disappoints. Uncle Tim took us all kayaking down the river when he got off work on Thursday - always a highlight! However, this year I think the treasure hunt was the biggest hit! A tree had fallen across the river the week before and caused several canoes to tip over. The tree was removed later that day, but several canoes had already tipped and "treasures" had been lost. We found several towels, shirts, sunglasses, paddles...even a pair of Oakleys! Lots of fun to be had on the river! I think there were a few fish caught, a turtle "rescued" and no snakes were seen...a successful trip in my book!
Can't wait until next year's summer visit!
