On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, Memaw went to be with the Lord. I know sweet Papa was waiting right there for her with that sweet smile of his. Can you imagine their sweet reunion? We had just celebrated Papa's homecoming a few months prior on February 28, 2015. His homecoming was on February 25, 2015. As difficult as it was to lose Memaw so soon after Papa, it was comforting to know that they didn't have to live very long without each other. They truly loved each other and it definitely showed. They were such a Godly example of commitment, respect, love and so much more. We were so blessed to have them with us as long as we did.
This was Memaw just five days prior to her Heavenly debut. Isn't she beautiful?
We celebrated her life on Saturday, June 20. Family gathered in Greenbriar for her graveside service led by her nephew, Johnny Harrington. He did a wonderful job painting a picture of what a faithful wife and mother she was. Never wanting to be the center of attention, but always known by everyone because of her contagious laugh and sweet, caring spirit. The celebration service was held at Immanuel Baptist Church and led by their long-time Sunday school teacher, Phil Spigner. He had everyone laughing at stories of Memaw on the church trips! It was a beautiful day and one we will all look back upon and smile. We celebrated a precious lady that made such and impact on so many lives. We love you Memaw and are so happy you and Papa are reunited again. I know there was a big party when you entered those pearly gates!

I love you Memaw and Papa! Thank you for teaching us all about the love of Christ. That was the greatest gift you could ever give. What a legacy you have left behind!
