Christmas in Arkansas

We had a wonderful Christmas in Arkansas this year. We started off our Christmas celebration on Tuesday night at Nana and Papa Doc's house with a wonderful meal...turkey, dressing and all the yummy sides! The kids all got matching pajamas and went to bed anxiously awaiting Wednesday morning when they could open presents! As you can imagine, it was a little crazy with five kids between the ages of one and five, but it was fun! The two older boys got Razor scooters and Zac got a John Deere tricycle and trailer. Molly was thrilled with her shopping cart and all the tissue paper! The kids played together with their toys all day and even got to shoot their bow and arrow...a fun gift from Nana and Papa Doc! We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed having a beautiful day to relax and play (we thought it was going to be raining).

On Christmas day, we celebrated with Richard's family. We had a great time at Aunt Karan's house and enjoyed another yummy meal! Present time was even more crazy, but lots of fun! Matthew was really excited about his new tool bag and tools. Now he can help daddy out on all of his projects (thanks Papaw Curtis and Janna!). Molly seemed to like her piano...it is the perfect size for her and she looks so cute playing it! I think the biggest hit of the day was a present that wasn't even Matthew or Molly's...it was a new puppy that Janna had gotten for Christmas. Matthew and Molly loved playing with Little Bit...so cute!

After Aunt Karan's we went to stay at Mamaw Shelia and Papaw Guy's house for a few nights. We really enjoyed getting to stay for a few days and the kids had a blast! Matthew loved playing "Thunder Bolt" with papaw...poor Papaw...I know he was exhausted when we left! Once again, we had delicious food and desserts while we were there. We had a great time seeing everyone and the kiddos loved thier presents. Matthew has become a pro at the Indiana Jones whip and Molly loves her elephant ball toy and pooh bear bouncer! We could not have asked for a better time spent with family over the holidays. We are constantly reminded of how blessed we are! Thanks to all for a great week!
