Nana, Aunt Kara and the boys came back to Texas with us for the weekend! The kids were all so excited to get to spend more cousin time together! When we got home on Friday, we all loaded up and went swimming at the Aquatic Center. The kids had so much fun on the waterslides and jumping off the diving board. This kept their attention for several hours before we has to head home because the rain moved in. The three oldest boys slept together on pallets in the playroom. Kara and I laughed each night as we secretly listened through the vent at what all they were saying! They were trying to be so quiet so we wouldn't split them up! Molly and Ben did great sleeping together...we never even heard a peep out of them.
On Saturday the kids played in the morning and then Nana took us all to see a movie...what a treat. After hitting a few stores in the mall, we all headed home to get ready for our fun evening ahead! The kids all went to a local gymnastics gym for their "Parents Night Out". Basically, the kids get to play on all the equipment in the gym, participate in games and eat pizza. How fun is that? While they were gone (and Uncle Rich was at baseball tryouts) Kara and I took Nana out for her anniversary! This was Nana and Papa Doc's 45th anniversary. Now that is impressive :) We had so much fun with just the girls...what a special night. Afterwards we decided it was time for an adult movie (unlike the movies we had seen earlier with the kids...Planes). We had lots of laughs and had a memorable time to say the least!
On Sunday Kara and her crew went to visit her in-laws and family for the day. They were so sweet to invite us, but we weren't able to go because of sports. When they got back that night (after a little detour...right, Kara?) we ate at Smashburger and then let the kids play before bedtime.
As their visit came to an end on Monday, we were able to fit a swim in an a trip to Bass Pro Shops. Such a fun weekend that went by entirely too fast! I loved having them visit and can't wait until next time! Again...the only picture I got was the one below. I guess we were having too much fun to stop for pictures!
