The Coppell Cowboys headed into the playoffs with an undefeated 7-0 season. Both playoff weeks the Cowboys were matched up against powerhouse Southlake teams. Week one the boys had a devastating 14-6 loss to Southlake White on a fluke kick-off return. Week two ended with a 6-0 win against Southlake Black in overtime! It was so exciting and left them ranked with the second best record on the season. Coach Williams' defense only allowed 32 points all season and was ranked the #1 defense in the entire league.
This was such a fun first season of tackle football! Matthew ended the season with 7 interceptions, a 68-yard kick-off return for a touchdown and several offensive receptions. Richard loved getting to coach Matthew in a sport that he has such passion for!
