I think "firsts" are definitely hard, but I just don't see how holidays will ever get easier without Papa Doc. Just a year ago, Papa Doc was part of this family photo. Miss him like crazy and don't know how that will ever change. So thankful for the memories we have from Thanksgivings in years past and all of the family photos.
Even though it was hard, we still had a great day and enjoyed lots of laughs and good fellowship. I love my family. I love how we all pull together to keep things going. I love that we can remember all of the good times we've had and still look forward to all the good times to come. Thankful for the examples I've been so blessed to have. So very thankful.
